The two terms, ‘Karma and Artha‘ are self explanatory in nature in all cultures. In Christianity there are parables that define it again and again. In all Indian Scriptures, the value of materialistic gain is directly connected to duty. Of course there are issues that preach balance and conservatism , the ultimate lesson appears loud and clear, – ‘as you sow, so shall you reap‘. Dharma may not be only spirituality. Dharma is our mission in life – a father’s responsibility towards progeny, wife’s duty to family, teacher’s responsibility towards pupil and so many more. Our first responsibility once we are born also happens to be to ourselves, survival in order that we are able to proceed towards our goal and complete the mission in this birth.
This is a difficult concept but again so easy if we do not consider certain values as rules and restrictions. The 10th house is the house of action or Karma.
