Christopher Nolan's Interstellar movie idea of Relativity, Time Travel between galaxies, age growth in different dimensions etc inspired from Tripura Rahasya, Bhagavata Purana.

Saw the movie last night. There are multiple ideas taken from the article mentioned in the above link.
Especially the kakudmi and revathi episode, time as 4th dimension etc...

A bit boring and lengthy movie.
Relativity etc are not new concepts but showing time as a physical dimension was something new

The father-daughter characters of kakudmi and Revati look similar to Cooper and Murph.
Indian films are more gaana - bajana oriented now, especially south indian movies which have superficial heros and their worship

Not as exciting and new like Inception..
The 'idea' of dream travel and time multiplication has been replaced by galaxy travel
