Dear All,

Though Sani is a trinal and an angular lord for Taurus ascendant (thus fulfilling criteria to be yogakarak), some classics do suggest Sani\'s incapability to give results on its own.

Though, B.V.Raman has disqualified this veiw and strongly agrees on Sani being a Yogakarak.

Request the learned to share their views on the same.

Best regards...

Appended are the Birth-chart details of a person born in the same ascendant.
He is around 78-79 years old now.
I would only mention the planetary positions which are accurate as I not aware of the time and DOB.

Asc - Taurus
Sun - Aries
Moon - Scorpio (Jyeshta)
Venus - Taurus
Mars - Pisces
Mercury - Pisces
Jupiter - Cancer
Saturn - Capricorn
Rahu - Pisces
Ketu - Virgo

Though having Malavya yoga, own house yogakaraka in the 9th, he lived a simple life.
Worked as a Govt Servant in the accounts section of forest dept, Owned just a two wheeler moped, had a medium own house (sold now), gets a good pension, wife died around 5 years ago.

Note : Exalted functional malefic Jupiter in 3rd aspects Moon, Saturn, Mars, Mercury & Rahu.
Only Venus & Ketu are free from Jupiter aspect.

saturn is yoga karak(based on ownerships) but also badhaka for vrishabh lagna.
so its not as beneficial as for tula(libra) lagna natives

usually badhaka planets , even if they are trine lords will not help much in growth.

badhaka planets can be found by  simple rule :

for chara lagna(movable signs) : 11th lord is badhaka
for sthira lagna(immovable signs) : 9th lord is bandhaka
for dvisvabhava lagna(mutable/dual signs) : 7th lord is bandhaka

so for aries, cancer, libra, capricorn , 11th lord is badhaka
for taurus, leo, scorpio, aquarius, 9th lord is badhaka
for gemini, virgo, sagittarius, pisces, 7th lord is badhaka

this badhaka will create hurdles in life and teaches lesson according to your past life karma and once this badhaka planet clears off all hurdle karma, then other yogakaraka planets will start functioning 100%, till then you will be kept waiting.

so first do a remedy for your badhaka

In a book i read written by K.N Rao he stated that yogakarka as shani gives its effect based on the karma of the person if the person has done wrong things to others to gain in material life he endsup suffering greatly in his yogakarka dasa, according to K.N Rao yogakarka's prime function is to help the soul by washing away his good or bad karma and there by bring the person closer to god, he mentioned that if a person suffers during yogakaraka dasa the person would become more spiritual, that is the prime purpose of yoga karka.

KN Rao is not a great predictor. He might have wonderful knowledge.
But he can not predict so accurately.

Having "astrology subject knowledge" is different from "prediction skill".
Don't blindly believe KN Rao, Sanjay rath writings.
Just read them to learn basics.
and for prediction skills, one has to surely learn kp method.
