Well, if you already have a pendulum, fine. If it\'s a crystal one, even better. If you don\'t, don\'t be discouraged! Building a pendulum, even a temporary one, is very easy.
Take a ring, any ring. Could be jewel ring or a ring from a key ring, or a pendant, or a pendant cross, or a stone with a hole in it.... Tie your ring (let\'s call it ring, whatever is the object you decide to use) to a thin rope, like the one you use to tie up meat prior to cooking. Or you could make a tress of threads to give it some consistency to hang the ring. Do not use nylon, it is too rigid. So, do tie the ring to the rope. Now you have a pendulum.... that\'s a good beginning, now you must train him!

TRAINING YOUR PENDULUM

Now that you have built your pendulum, you must train him just as you would train a puppy!
You must teach your pendulum that:
1) when it swings clockwise, it means yes.
2) When it swings counterclockwise, it means no.
3) When it swings vertically, it\'s in waiting
4) When it swings horizontally or diagonally, it a maybe/does not know answer.
First, make him swing, lead him on and talk him through it. Then stop it and ask him to say yes (or no). Try it several times, till it gets used to swinging in the right direction.
You can then send him energy or charge him with reiki if you wish, but this is not necessary for it to work properly. Once he has learnt to be user-friendly, just start asking and you\'ll be amazed at the replies you will get!

If you want to try a very natural pendulum, try using star anise!
