How did you get into Astrology ?

never an astrologer but as my friends started discussing about cricket match predictions during 2011 world cup, found some interest

My mother knew traditional astrology...her predictions failed frequently. Once I was in a big problem, my mom\'s astrology did not seem to help. She adviced me to meet one astro in Mumbai...who was famous KP astrologer. He accurately predicted many things...I bought his books and learned KP. I am using KP or last 4 to 5 yrs.

ppl like Virinchi, Seetaram inspired me to learn.

I used to hate astrology... my mom used to tell me don\'t do this today... don\'t do that now and all.. I used to shout back stop being so superstitious and all !! There\'s nothing like seeing future and all.. I used to tell its all fake ! But then i don\'t know i somehow started reading daily horoscopes and used to compare my day with it and now ive come to that stage where i don\'t feel like going out without reading my daily horoscope somewhere !

Back in 2003 I read a book on western astrology which analysed countries horscopes and outlines the history and future predictions. The general dynamics in western astrology caused me to take an interest in astrology.

I then found a vedic astrology blog with interest during the 2003 cricket world cup. His predictions were very accurate regarding India\'s chances and Ganguly\'s horoscope which got my curious. Ofcouse, vedic/K.P astrology has proved very accurate regarding sport\'s matches which caused me to take a mre interest in this branch

Vedic astrology is the best, since it has helped many people and provided appropriate remedial mesaures. As stated, sports matches were predicted accurately too.

Hi all ,

Kinda new on this forum . My introduction to astrology happened when I hit rock bottom/Public failure in my life when I was 15~16 . Nothing seemed to happen for me and etc...
So I wanted to know why things werent turning the way it would/should , hence I entered astrology . As time passed by now its been 4yrs~5yrs and I am still in pursuit to find out my career path .
In the journey I meet someone very very special but I guess its my fate/destiny/bad karma that I am stuck and I am the way I am .
Its really nice to see you guys here . Hope I can learn about Vedic astrology and about myself from this forum.

well, thats a natural way to get interest in astrology.
whenever life poses questions, which schools,family,friends etc cannot answer(obviously schools can never teach you anything useful in life), man looks at either religion or astrology for answers.

In india (hinduism), astrology is part of religion. Infact its a vedanga (part of vedas), so not a big deal.
But in few other organized religions, astrology is not given importance

i never believed astrologer till i entered into 20s.
only after life posed too many questions which other sciences cannot answer, i looked at astro
