I think 5th lord, 5th H significators, planets placed in 5th H and 5th sublord are primarily responsible
In all cases of love failures i\'ve seen 5th lord combust or retrograde
5th lord is placed in 4th bhava will cause love failures
also retrograde 5th lord placed on constellations owned by 4,8,12 lords will cause rejections in love affairs
5th lord combust is useless for love affair but if other aspects and significators support then love can materialise but only with pressure from other side

i think saturn aspects 7,11,2 houses from 5th and its bad as its aspecting family, love, finance, kids, speech, friends and luck
if your lagna is makara or tula then may be saturn from here will help but for others its useless
especially bad for mesha, vrishabha, kumbha lagnas
4th lord is also important here as its 12th w.r.t 5th house
