why only few places are treated as Holy Places
« on: April 14, 2011, 05:17:52 PM »
Good Day.
Learned Members.

Why some places are treated as Holy places...Kasi/varanasi/Tirumala/Kanchi/Sri Rangam/Sri Sailam etc.,

Recently when I listened a speech from Sree.Chaganti Koteswara Rao Garu - He said In A.P, Draksha Ramam is one of the Best Spriritual place is called Moksha or Mukti Kendra...

Looking views from Learned Members,

Sincerely,
prasad:)

It takes years to explain why each and every place in that list became holy.
I would rather put this in simple way :

Blood flows throughout our body and it actually maintains our body temperature.
But thermometer is used only under tongue or underarm to check temperature.

Likewise, god exists allover the world but his energy can be tapped only at few points on earth and they are treated as holy
Wanting to learn vast ranged Astrology only to predict few sport events is like Marrying only for Sex !

The greatest mistake you can make in life is to be continually fearing you will make one !

Good Day.
Sri.Virinchi.

Well Said, If we donate Moeny etc., or if we do some Good Karma which gives more and more results than doing other places....?

i.e if we do Annadanam in Kasi which gives more result than doing in other place...

Your views pls,

Sincerely,
prasad

everyone cannot/need not visit all those places.
For example, amarnath yatra can\'t be done by everyone.
So, meditate at home and help others in need will be good enough.

i think most of such statements like \'if you do something in some place, result gets multiplied\' is hype created for that place.
you just need good heart and result will be same anywhere

Sri.Virinchi,

Sorry I am little bit confused in your 1st message wrote as
\"Likewise, god exists allover the world but his energy can be tapped only at few points on earth and they are treated as holy\"

So, in that case where God\'s energy tapped (in few points on earth) there if we do some good Karma why don\'t we can expect more / quick result...Please clear me

Why most  Astrologers / Pandits suggest for Kala sarpa Dosha or Rahu Ketu Dosha Nivrarana Pooja  - Sri.Kala Hasti or Rameswaram?

Your comment please,
Sincerely,
prasad:)

why didn\'t you ask them there itself?
if you paid them for some ritual, you should not leave them till your doubts are cleared

@msrhprasad Good logic. After all donating something to someone, any where, is a good thing for the society, at the same time 'apatra danam' is prohibited. My understanding is there are three kind of donations such as donation with foolishness, passion and goodness (Satwa rajasthamo guna), each is better than the other in the ascending order.Ideally one has to donate without expecting any results out of that particular Danam, if there is any benefit accept it as a by product.Anyway,at the end of the one is responsible for their own actions

About Kalahasthi/Rameswaram, I too heard that.Perhaps we need to know this too from DCP, as he/she mentioned in a post about the Saturn-Thirumala relation

Cheers
