Bharat is the nucleus of this world. Everything starts and end here. All religions (even the 2 abrahamic faiths) have roots here. You can find extreme of everything in India, be it corruption, wealth, greed, devotion, knowledge, luxuries etc. This land is not a place which allows you to live as you like. DHARMA is defined and one has to live within its boundaries.
Generally all animals (including humans) have 4 traits in common - 'Hunger, Sleep, Sex and Fear'. While animals cannot and will not try to overcome any, humans can control all of them. Out of these 4, fear is the biggest and strongest. Fear without reasoning is just fear, like any other animal can experience it. Fear with reasoning is 'Dharma' which only humans have defined and followed.
Usually, people who have badly placed Jupiter of 5th lord, tend to get attracted to fake gurus and babas. They need shortcuts for fulfilling desires. Hinduism is not a 'defined' religion with 1 book and 1 prophet. With its enormous literature (mostly in sanskrit and written in poetic way), people need intepretations for them. This is where their 'karma' drives them to either genuine of fake gurus.
Datta Panjara Strotra says in its last line : सदोदित सकल मत स्थापकाय , which means - I will create all religions/faiths at right point of time.
The idea behind all these conflicting faiths is evolution. Just like every body needs different food in different climates, every soul needs different paths to be followed based on its current evolution stage and future requirements.
