My Past Life ?

About 15 years ago, I accompanied a Sri Lankan friend of mine in Colombo to meet a few Indian astrologers who read our \"Ola\" leaves. My friend is a Buddhist and a staunch vegetarian. He enquired after his next birth/life, and was told by the Indian astrologers that he will be born in India to a good family.

I asked them after my Previous birth and was told that I was a woman from a holy village in Lanka who worshipped Lord Vishnu. I was also told that I had cheated on my spouse, hence my marriage in this life would be delayed because of that previous karma. I got married after 28 and my husband is of a difference race & religion. I was given a recording of the Reading but sadly I had misplaced it... what a shame, I wish I still had it as they were very, very accurate. Can someone tell me more about OLA LEAF Reading, and how can it be so accurate that they even gave my exact name and my families precise names? I only gave my thumb print! Amazing! I am still baffled. The Indian team of Ola Readers went back to India a few years after that and I could not locate them again in Lanka.

Virinchi

interesting ! those OLA leaves sound similar like Naadi leaves found in south india
Wanting to learn vast ranged Astrology only to predict few sport events is like Marrying only for Sex !

The greatest mistake you can make in life is to be continually fearing you will make one !

gauranggroups

It is not similar, Virinchi. It is the same. Ola means palm leaves. Also Anjali has clearly mentioned they were from India and they\'ve gone back too. Probably she might\'ve got the right Ola, and hence she might\'ve got pretty accurate predictions.

You\'re absolutely correct... they looked like Palm leaves to me. There was such a throng of people to meet them, that the qeues were always very long. We had to go around 6.00 am to make an appointment. We had to stand for hours, and then finally when our turn came, all we were asked to do was to give our thumb print on a piece of paper and they would write down our appointment date/time on it, and off we went home. On the day of our appointment, it was once again the same story... Then we were ushered in to a room... They were south Indians as they were bare chested, had vibuthi on their foreheads and a strange accent that was difficult to understand.

They went through MANY Ola leaves, stating names, and finally when my actual name was mentioned, I said YES, that\'s me. Then they put away all the rest, and kept a tape recorder near by, and started reading. There were many chapters and we had the choice of asking about our PREVIOUS BIRTH or NEXT BIRTH. So my friend chose NEXT BIRTH and I chose my Previous birth, just for the sake of intrigue/curiosity. I had being a poor woman in a very rural village in Sri Lanka but I had done good deeds, hence I was born in to a good moderately well-to-do family in this life and I\'m now in the Gulf, doing quite well. These are the dots I wanted to connect as I wanted to know about Karma & how our past deeds would affect our next birth. But I was a female before as well. My guy friend was told that he will be born as a man in India in his next life and was also told what his name would be!!! Could all this be true?? It\'s all so accurate that I cannot doubt any of this. Has anyone in India come across these type of readers? From where do they FIND these Ola leaves that has our entire life written on them????

Totally baffled and in awe.

Anjali,

It\'s very nice of you to respond back immediately. You\'ve mentioned that you are from Srilanka. Are you a Srilankan Tamilian or a Sinhalese? The reason for asking is, you have mentioned that they were from South India and their accent was strange. Actually they\'ll speak normal Tamil only, but the Tamil in the Ola is a very ancient one and hence it\'ll be very tough to understand. As you said, they all used to apply vibuthi on their foreheads. All the Naadi readers are from a community called \"Valluvars\".

Regarding Naadi Astrology, some ancient Tamil Siddhars (Sages) like Sri Agasthiyar, Sri Sugar and Sri Bogar, etc, had given predictions for almost all the people who were / are / will be taking births in this world. It\'s very accurate and they can say about your past, present and future lives. They can say about your marriage, spouse\'s names and children\'s names too.

These were maintained, copied and recopied by few Astrologers\' families. But since these Naadis were very ancient (minimum 2500 to 3000 years old), most of the naadis were lost and only few are left with now. But these guys have become commercialized and they don\'t reveal these truth. Hence even if they don\'t have real leaves, these guys are preparing them and predicting to the people roughly based on their horoscopes. Hence many people are getting wrong predictions. But who are lucky enough will get their original leaves will get their predictions damn right.

I have got many contacts with these Naadi Astrologers and know them personally too. The original Naadi Astrologer shouldn\'t even ask you whether your name starts with these letters are not. After getting our thumb print, they should tell everything by themselves. If some one is asking these things, we should start doubting their genuinity.

If you\'ve got everything right in your predictions, you may be one of those lucky persons whose original Naadi still exists.

Thank you Gaurang for your insightful reply.

Yes, I am a Sri Lankan Sinhala Buddhist. I got this reading done when I was about 22 years old, and didn\'t think too much of it back then. I started developing a love for astrology much later in my life, and then it was too late for me to go back to these Ola readers as they had vacated their premises in Colombo and I heard they had all gone back. I had by then also misplaced the cassette which had their recording. I recall a bit of their reading: they said that I will get married to someone outside of my race & religion  and live overseas for a long time, but in my old age that I will return to Lanka before my demise. They were very accurate about my family & siblings details. It\'s a pity I cannot recall much of that reading now coz I\'m going through a tough patch now and would love to have known if I would have some peace of mind anytime soon. :(

What part of India are you from? I guess I found it a bit difficult to fathom their accent coz they gave me the reading in English with a very heavy tamil accent probably. But now I live in the Gulf with a big gang of some wonderful Indian friends hailing from all parts of India, so I\'m very accustomed to the various dialects of the lang, and they have almost converted me to an Indian!! :)

Anjali

Sorry, I should have read your details before shooting my mouth off... I can now see you are from Bangalore. I have some very close friends from Bangalore who have invited me to visit BLR. I have not visited \"Incredible India\" yet, but hoping to do so next year. I have every intention of meeting up with Naadi readers if I get the opportunity.

Go \"Challengers\" from BLR!!! :-)

Anjali,

You are welcome. It\'s good to get your response with all the details. Don\'t worry about the cassette. If you are not able to find that out, no issues. You can get your new readings whenever you are coming to India. If you want any guidance, I can help you out too. Write me when you are planing to drop down here. I\'ll direct you then.

If you know your exact birth details, you can get your astro readings done here. There are some very wonderful KP Astrologer here in this forum and they\'ll help you out. If possible, donate some amount to this site via paypal and get your astro readings done here.

So what if I\'m from Bangalore? I don\'t mistake you for speaking about the accents. It\'s true. People have different accents here. And we can find that accent influence even in their English with many people.That\'s not a sin either as its quite natural.

Thank you once again. I like your promptness & clarity in replying.

No, I never found fault in the accents. I just found it hard to understand back then. I suppose Indians sometimes find our accent a bit tiresome to understand as well. It\'s not something to be worried about anyways.

I am a newbie to this site. I don\'t want to ask questions right away as that was not my intention when I joined this site, and it could irk some of the seniors. I don\'t want to give the impression that I joined here just to ask my questions and then to disappear when all is hunky dory. Initially I thought I will be hopeless in participating, but I have now begun to love the interaction! So I wish more strength & power to this site & its wonderful teachers & learners.

I will hold on to my Q till the right time! :)

Thank you once again; you have made me feel very welcome here. I would most certainly look up the Naadi readers when I visit India. Bangalore is a place close to my heart, for many reasons.

Ciao! Have a great day!

It doesn\'t matter you are a newbie to this site. If you\'ve got any general questions, you can ask them here. Hence no need to wait for the right time. If it\'s your personal question like your personal Horoscope reading or Palm reading, you gotta wait for the right time or you gotta donate to this site and can ask.
